Truth-seeking is embedded into much of the work that educators are asked to do on a regular basis. Ask students to review Section II.B. from this Model Code of Ethics for Educators and discuss which of the items listed in that section relate to truth-seeking behavior on the part of the educator. This can be an opportunity to introduce students to the idea of a “code of ethics” for educators and could be extended to have students draft their own code of ethics that reflects their values and character.
